It is a really sad thing for Flixya users who were doing a hard work in promoting and sharing cool content. It is only due to spammy and abusive users that Google AdSense finally decided to ban Flixya.com from using their AdSense ads.
Flixya, with a slogan of "Share Everything", is a website where users share their pictures, blogs, videos with others. Commenting, voting and liking each others' shares, and making money on them was what users do to keep the site alive.
However, many users were so keen to make AdSense money that they started uploading copyrighted content of other users. This not only decreased the Google love, but also increased plagiarism.
Plagiarised content might be the answer as to why Flixya was receiving only 15% traffic from search engines.
